fixing my mouse - 23.04.2026

heyyyyy, at start my mouse is razer basilisk essential which i own since start of 2021 and was working great until last summer because then things like double clicking started and it wouldn't be much issue but later i needed to use second mouse to do things like drag and drop files
i saw video where dude just sprayed switches with wd40 and it worked fine after so i tried aaaand it didn't help... and even worse skates were unusable after

so i end up with unusable mouse because it was dragging on my deskmat and for around a month i've used lagging chinnese mouse

i bought new switch and new skates and here my operation begins!

i needed to desolder old switch and with that i had some issues with...

so my friend helped me and he did great job!!!

but old switch didn't survive (*)


and then soldering new switch!
process could end up smoothly but there's always some catch! my iron tip needed replacement because there is something wrong with it... (i need to search, from what i know it's something about oxidation and shit...)
end up like that!!


last thing which i was most scared about were new skates but with my mom's nail polish remover cleaning and placing new went smooth

honestly at first i was scared because they weren't sliding smoothly and i thought i bought some shit ones but there was protective foil on them

now i can feel like some hardware hacker XD
